A marble bust mapped with a fine three-dimensional wireframe mesh

The FORMA app · AI and AR

See it before
the needle.

An iPad in the consultation room, mapping the face in three dimensions and showing the patient what a treatment is intended to do — while they sit in front of you.

Not a generic face filter. The preview is calibrated to each FORMA product and density, so the patient sees what that syringe does, live, during the consultation.

How it works

Three steps, inside one conversation.

01

The face is mapped

The patient is centred on the iPad's camera and scanned. The app builds a three-dimensional mesh of up to 3,308 points, and works from that geometry rather than from a flat picture.

02

The treatment is chosen

The practitioner selects the FORMA filler, the area of the face, and the volume — anywhere from 0.5 to 2 cc. The choice is a real product at a real density, not a slider marked "more".

03

The preview runs live

The result appears on the live camera and follows the patient as they move and speak. It is adjusted in front of them, and the conversation happens around the screen.

Why it is different

A simulator that knows
which syringe you picked.

Most facial simulators offer generic adjustments — a lip slider, a cheek slider — untethered from any product. They show a wish.

The FORMA app is calibrated the other way round. Each FORMA filler behaves differently: 20, 24 and 26 mg/ml differ in density and plasticity, sit at different depths and lift differently. The preview is mapped to the product, the area and the volume chosen, so what the patient sees corresponds to the treatment being discussed.

That is a conversation about a specific plan, rather than a picture of a different face.

20, 24 and 26 mg/ml do not behave alike. The preview is mapped to the one you chose.

In the consultation

A conversation, not a promise.

The preview exists so that practitioner and patient agree on what is being proposed before anything is injected: which FORMA product, which area of the face, which volume. The patient sees it on their own face, live, and asks their questions while the plan is still a plan.

It is a simulation shown during a consultation, not a prediction of outcome. What a treatment achieves depends on the patient's anatomy, the product used and the practitioner's technique — the app supports that conversation, it does not replace it.

Who it is for

Clinics only.

The FORMA app is a professional tool for qualified medical practitioners. It is used inside the clinic, on a tablet prepared for that purpose, and it is not published on public app stores or available to patients to download.

A note on what the preview is. The image on screen is a digital simulation created to support a consultation and to illustrate what a treatment is intended to address. It is not a photograph of a result, not a prediction, and not a guarantee. Outcomes depend on indication, technique, product selection and individual response, and remain a matter of clinical judgement. FORMA products are medical devices and cosmetic formulations for administration by qualified practitioners only.

Questions

The ones we are asked.

Does it work on live video, or on a photograph?

On live video. The preview follows the patient on the iPad's camera during the consultation, rather than being applied to a still photograph taken beforehand.

Is the preview specific to the product being used?

Yes. The practitioner selects the FORMA filler, the area of the face and the volume, from 0.5 to 2 cc, and the preview reflects that combination rather than a generic facial adjustment.

How detailed is the facial mapping?

The app builds a three-dimensional mesh of the face of up to approximately 3,308 vertices, and works from that mesh rather than from flat image regions.

Can a patient download it?

No. It is intended for use by qualified medical professionals inside a clinic, and it is not distributed through public app stores.

Is the preview a prediction of the clinical result?

No. It is a digital simulation used to support the consultation. It is not a guaranteed outcome; results depend on indication, technique and individual response.

How do we get it for our clinic?

Through FORMA or your FORMA distributor. Tell us where you are and we will put you in touch with the right person.
